This event was created for the sole purpose of creating a stronger community. For those of you who live and work in Long Beach you understand the relationships created here are forged in steel and almost impossible to replicate in any other city. Simply put WE LOVE THIS PLACE.
Going to a handful of charity events every year, we started to notice how very few young adults were in attendance. Our mission is to change this. By no means is our generation Slactivists, rather we are screaming for a great event that does not have a corporate feel. The Grand Classic Was born out of this thought.
This Charity will benefit Children Today, which was the obvious choice for us given its grass roots nature. Children Today is an advocate for the needs of children facing homelessness and provides quality early care and education programs absolutely free of charge. Since their inception, the combined impact of the Play House West and Play House North has reached over 800 families in Long Beach.
We cant wait to see everyone out at this event. We are going to raise a lot of money and have a great time doing it. Please join us Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 26, 2012. Your participation and attendance can and does make a difference!
